Wild Roots Farm

Amy and Wes have been growing organic vegetables and herbs commercially since 1997. Located in Sullivan County at the edge of the Catskills, we grow most of our crops on 10 acres of beautiful river bottom soil. We also tend our homesite gardens and young orchard with the company of our hardy Scottish Highland cow and Icelandic sheep.

Years of growing our own food and our experiences across the country with different farms gave us the background to develop our model of "ecological" farming. Our organic farming methods strive to incorporate our production into the surrounding ecosystem in a mutually beneficial relationship.

Actions Speak Louder Than Bumper Stickers

We believe that small scale farming for local communities is an essential cultural shift that must take place for the future of consumers, producers and the ecosystem.

Agricultural biotech firms are spending millions of dollars in advertising to convince the American people to accept potentially harmful bio-engineered foods. There is evidence of the negative effect these products have both on our planet and our bodies. Multi-national agribusiness is working to control every aspect of food production from seed sales to final product, creating a system which is environmentally and socially irresponsible for the want of a higher profit margin.

We think that the most effective way to survive this train crash is to get off the train.

Buy locally grown organic vegetables!
