Farm News

We are all keeping busy here! Much of the planting is done and the field is filling out and looks beautiful and lush. This is the season for leafy greens and big salads. If you're not sure how to cook them, try putting them in an egg omlette with cheese, green onions and/or mushrooms. Dark leafy greens are very nutritious and loaded with vitamins and minerals.

"On the bright side, there are lots of initiatives locally and around the world - CSA's and community gardens among them - where people are attempting to go beyond just one person, one farm, to really make a community that works and whose food system works."

Today's Vegetables
